Another of my Stamping Bellarubber stamps. This time it's cupacakeabella. I coloured her with pastel pencils and mounted her onto a pink scallop cut on the Robo. I used coffee and cream coloured PP from a CD I have. I printed the sentiment on the PC using CK Curly font and matted it onto pink and brown card. Added a bit of brown and pink spotty ribbon. I used Stickles just to highlight the cherry and the spots on her dress.
The next one is just another similar to a previous card I've uploaded. It's basically playing with different shaped scallops and matting them on top of each other. This is Papermania daisies with green pearl brads in the centre.I've doodled the stems! the rectangular matt I've run through the Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirls embossing folder. Brenda Pinnick PP with a layer of pink card embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and some pretty green lace ribbon attached. Sentiment again printed on PC and matted onto pink and green card.
I thought that seeing as I didn't have anything craft related to post today, that I'd post a video from YouTube of a song from my favourite era. The 1980's! I love going through YouTube looking at all the videos from back then and reliving my teenage years. The fashion and hairstyles....LOL It all seems so long ago now................
Well after 4 months of no scrapping and having no inspiration to do so,I've finally managed to do a layout. I've been playing about with a few for weeks but finished this one yesterday. I'm still not sure how I feel about it,or if I've got my mojo back, but it's done and at least it's a step on the way. I took the poppy photo at Almondvale Heritage Centre back in August 2007 and decided to use it. I had already done a Print&cut decoupage of it for a card (which you can see in a previous post) and also added that to the LO. Not sure if decoupage on a LO is the right thing to do,but I did it anyway. I cut all the swirls on a Cricut at a crop and also cut the Basic Grey paper into Scallops with it.The large P is a Bazzill really big letter and the rest I cut on my Robo. The font is called Coaster. Used my Crop-A-Dile to set the eyelets and threaded some red, black and white ribbon through.
Just a quick card I made this morning with help from my Robo.I think the PP was free in a magazine, but can't remember which one. The flowers are a mixture of two kinds.I know the larger ones are Papermania but not the smaller ones. Cut the ovals and scallops on the Robo. Matted them together on 3d foam and then on 3d foam to the card.Printed the greeting on the PC.Slit the card and threaded the ribbon through (my ribbon thingie wouldn't reach that far in!) and tied a bow. Added the little Papermania pearls.
I really love the stamps from Stamping Bella , and I've got quite a few now. These are a couple of my Partygirlabella cards I did a while back. The first is one of my favourite PP by Daisybuckets and the greeting I used the pen in my Robo.
The second is Papermania Venetian Skies PP and the frame is from Craftwork Cards, which I chalked with Colorbox chalk inks.Again the greeting was done on the Robo. I'm not a fan of Magnolias (SHOCK,GASP) so will be sticking with my Bellas for now.
Well seeing as I'd bought all that lovely new stash,I thought I'd make a card to try it out......as you do. Basic Grey Two Scoops PP, Sizzix flower cut from pale pink glitter card with a Papermania green pearl brad to the centre.HOTP sentiment stamped onto oval and scallop cut on the Robo. Some pink lace ribbon as well. A very simple card made with gorgeous items.
Went to Craft Central at Cardwell Garden Centre at Lunderston Bay and treated myself to some Basic Grey Two Scoops. It's such a yummy paper. I bought the full paper pack with some swirls and alphabets in it. I also treated myself to another Sizziz Bigz flower to go with my Daisy I've already got. For any Laura Ashley lovers who can get there, they have the new papers and matching embellishments in stock. It's not quite my thing so I resisted!
Oops....forgot to add I've also ordered myself a Scor-Pal from the USA. It does up to 12x12 so will be very handy.
Yesterday we went to watch the Easter Egg Bike Ride all the bikers do for the kids at Yorkhill Children's Hospital in Glasgow. They do it every year and it just seems to get bigger and bigger. I met up with Hazel from DoCrafts with her 3 kids and we stood and watched about 8000 bikers parade past. Hazel's husband Stephen was taking part.Louis was so thrilled to see all the motorbikes, trikes and sidecars. What a fantstic thing those bikers do for the kids. There was a huge party at the hospital, loads of Easter eggs, bouncy castle and the kids getting their pictures taken on the bikes.
Kerry from CurlyGirlyMe has awarded me the Arte Y Pico (Art & More) award. It's awarded to bloggers who share their art and creativity making their contribution to the blogger world. So a huge thanks to Kerry.I'm delighted to receive it from such a deserving winner in her own right!
The Rules!
1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community,no matter what language.
2. Each award has to give the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4. Award winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog,so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5. To show these rules.
I'm only new to blogging so can only choose from a few, but from the blogs I've already seen, are more than deserving of the award. Some are fairly new blogs and some are established. A few I would have chosen have already been deserving winners of the award. So my chosen award winners are Emma (elf-creations),Monica (my many many passions),Brenda Pinnick (Brenda Pinnick), Annette (Scrap Happens Here) and Lorraine (Scrapmetal's Retreat)
Pickle on the Docrafts forum posted about Kay Miller Designs. So off I went to have a nosey.Well her Digi kits were really appealing so Paypal had an outing and I bought a few page kits. Never did Digi before and as I don't have an A3 printer or know how to use PS apart from resizing pictures a bit and doing some lattice for my Robo, I was mainly getting it to make cards with.
Hope you like this little Jungle Boogie card.I used the Cuttlebug distressed stripes embossing folder as it gives a lovely bark effect. The font I used was ABCKids. I used my Robo to print and cut all the images and mounted them with 3d foam.
I've always thought these wee houses never really served much purpose, but looked really cute. So when Craftology had them in stock I thought I'd buy one and give it a try. I decided to use some of my Brenda Pinnick kit to decorate it.I was quite pleased with how it turned out, then again I had gorgeous papers to work with. I emailed Brenda a picture of it and was gobsmacked when she emailed me back asking if she could put it on her blog. Would I mind?.................of course not! So here's my wee house that had a few moments of fame.

More stash!
Did I forget to mention the crop I go to is held in my local craft shop? Craftology in Glasgow. Well the only thing about it is there's always too much lovely stash waiting to be bought. Morag the woman who runs it just happened to mention they had a lovely new collection of papers in which were just fab for little boys. When she saw them, she said she thought of pictures of Louis my wee boy and that I'd love them. Well here I am ££££'s lighter and with some gorgeous papers called Zach's Life I bought the mini fold out album which was so cute, paper collection and some acrylic stamps. Just need to find my mojo and get on with doing something creative with them.
I decided that rather than upload all my layouts a few at a time,I'd add this little slide show of them instead.Hopefully I'll get round to doing one for my cards too, although that might take a while.I hope you enjoy having a look at my pages and please feel free to comment on any aspect whether good or bad.

Went to my scrapbook crop tonight and finally managed to get the beginnings of a page started.Hopefully this will be me getting my inspiration back.It was actually due to a card I made the other day that I kind of decided on what photo to scrap. It was a lovely poppy photograph I took last year at Almondvale Heritage Centre in Livingston.I had been playing about with the image on my Craft Robo and turned it into a Poppy print & cut decoupage.I matted it onto a lovely layer template from UKS that jsillyscraps had posted.I thought it looked quite striking and could be used for different occasions. What do you think?
So watch this space in the next few days.......ummmmm make that weeks....lol, just in case.

Thought I'd add another of my previous projects as I'm planning on having a spring clean today so don't think I'll have much time for crafting, even though I've got Easter cards to make and a couple of birthday cards, one for a 100th Birthday. These are two cards I made the other day.The first is a Stampendous Changito Happy B'Day monkey stamp and the other is the Penny Black elephant stamp. I love those cute little monkeys. They always look like they're up to mischief.I hope to buy a few more of them.I even recycled some corrugated packing to use on it as it gives a lovely texture. The elephant is just so cute and versatile. I think the stripey paper was a freebie as I can't remember the name of it.I just thought it looked nice and bright and fresh.

Well here goes for the first of my layouts. I'm not uploading them in the order I did them as I can't remember. Seeing as it's a blog about my love of crafting and of rock music,I'll start with two layouts I did for fun as a sort of tribute to two of my favourite bands. They both kind of speak for themselves. A few people have commented to me before that they recognise my style. I didn't realise I had a style! Probably cluttered I think as when I try to do simple layouts they never look finished. Hope you like them. I've been so happy as they both announced a joint tour in the UK this year,so my tickets for June 17th at the SECC are now in my possession. Joe Elliott and David Coverdale in one room....yippeeeeee!!

Well looks like I've got me a Blog. I'm not really sure why I decided to start one as I doubt I'll be able to keep it updated every day. I just thought it might be nice to have somewhere to post my cards and layouts. Also to ramble on about everyday things and my love of rock music which will probably bore everyone to tears,so I don't expect many visitors.
I hope over the next few weeks to add some more of my cards and layouts from the past year to the blog.It might just give me the push I need to get back to scrapbooking.I haven't done any layouts since November and seemed to have lost any enthusiasm for doing any.I suppose with having to make loads of cards before Christmas and then Christmas itself being busy I haven't had a chance. Since then I haven't really had much opportunity as I was in hospital having an operation and am still recovering from that (I'll talk about that some other time)
