Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday and time for another
Sweet Stampin' Challenge
The theme from Team Wendy is
Peace Themed

A hippie, some tree hugging, or Peace-lovin'
themes to help celebrate the wonderful
International Day of Peace!

I've used the gorgeous Yoyo from Saturated Canary for my card. She just looks like the perfect Hippie Chick.
I coloured her with copics to coordinate with my First Edition papers.
I cut the papers using my Spellbinders dies and mounted her on 3D foam tape. I cut the Hippy Chick and peace signs on my ScanNCut using a 60's style font.
I cut out 3 hearts using my Memory Box dies and stacked them off set on each other with 3D foam pads.
To finish off I added a little orange flower.

Love and Peace!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Saturday and another new challenge at

This week the theme from Team Abi is
Autumn Leaves

Our fabulous sponsor this week is
Crafty Ribbons

For my card this week I've used the fab Elphaba from Saturated Canary. I've coloured her with warm Autumn colours. My idea was she's sweeping up leaves. For the background I embossed kraft card with a leaves embossing folder and added a strip of leafy PP. The leaves were die cut and tucked in behind the button.

40's Fashion

The 1940's fashion era is one of my favourites along with the 20's (House Of Elliott), so when Krista brought out these new digis I had to get them. This is the 40's fashion girl.
I decided to add the polka dots to her dress just to make it a bit different.

Bestie Selfie

Sorry I've not been around much this week or visiting your blogs.I've just stepped back from my laptop and just been enjoying the superb weather we've been having here and also watching the Commonwealth Games at night.

I made this card for my neighbour's grand daughter for the same girl the previous nurse card was for. She's best friends with the girl and wanted a card to show that.I've used the fab image again from Saturated Canary and it's called Best Friend Selfie.I coloured them with Copics and paper pieced their tops.I was asked for bling so added gems to the mobile phone and other bling dazzlers, not forgetting the glitter 30 cut on my Cricut.

30th Birthday Card For A Nurse

I was asked by my neighbour if I could make a 30th Birthday card for a girl who had just qualified as a nurse. I decided to use the Saturated Canary image called Heartstrings who is a nurse in her scrubs. Not in uniform like I had to wear when I was a nurse. Then again I trained with Florence Nightingale it was so long ago!!

I used gauze instead of ribbon and left it like a little rolled up bandage at the end.The clipboard was made using a tag die and I added the clip to it.The sticking plaster was just made using a piece of beige card and a swiss dots embossing folder. Finally I added some blue beads into the little bottle to look like a jar of pills.I finished it off with a large number 30 cut on my Cricut from Glitter card.

Princess And A Cat

That was the brief I was given for making this 21st birthday card. She likes princesses and cats,so this image from Saturated Canary was perfect. I decorated the inside and made a matching box. I embossed the white card with the embossing folder, then cut up squares of patterned paper and stuck them down and then ran it through the embossing folder again to get the patchwork effect. It was quite easy to line up again as it has a stitched effect.
