Choo Choo Train

Stu asked me if I could make a birthday card for his friend's little boy for his birthday. I used red cardstock for the base card. The PP is K&Co Kazoo Kids as is the number 2 which I matted onto green Bazzill and red card. The train image is from the Making Tracks download from NitWit Collections, which I covered with glossy accents.Matted onto green Bazzill and red card. The ticket is also from the Making Tracks collection. I matted it onto some red card and stamped the Happy Birthday and Your Special Day with Woodware clear stamps and the name was using a Studio G alphabet.I ran a strip of red card through the Cutlebug with the Happy Birthday embossing folder.I finished it off with some buttons and ribbon.
I also decided to decorate the inside with matching K&Co Kazoo Kids PP. I printed the verse off
and mounted it onto green and red card again and added 4 brads. Stu drew the tracks for me and I cut them on the Craft Robo and made them into a little photo frame,to add a birthday picture to.The carriage was again from the Making Tracks collection and I again added glossy accents and stamped the sentiment with a Studio G clear stamp.
To finish it off i made a matching box and covered it with K&Co Kazoo Kids PP,tag and grand adhesion.

Wedding Cakes

I was asked to make a wedding card for a friend who was going to a wedding in Prague. It was to be Scottish themed as the groom was Scottish.I decided that instead of making a traditional card,I'd make a little keepsake. The template was from UKScrappers by a very talented lady and cut on my Craft Robo. I've made this little 3d wedding cake before as a trial, but this time it was for real and to give to someone on their special day.I assembled the cake and decorated it with tartan ribbon (can't remember which tartan),two little silver rings intertwined, some thistles on the top and a bunch of heather and a thistle down the side.
I then made up the box and lined with acetate.I then decorated round the bottom with more tartan ribbon.I cut out a few tags and decorated with tartan paper. On one I put the couples names and date of wedding. On another I added a wedding verse and also added another for my
friend to write a personal message on.I added another little bunch of heather/thistles and added a gorgeous silver button with a thistle on it.All tied at the top with some tartan ribbon.

The couple really loved it thank goodness. My friend had taken it into her work beforehand and one of her workmates asked if I'd make one for her too as she was going to be bridesmaid at a wedding. This one was to have red tartan instead. So I made another similar one but used the red tartan (Stewart I think......) I had run out of little silver rings so used two entwined wedding bells instead (thank goodness for cake decoration shops!) Sorry about the not so good picture of this one,as I forgot to take a pic before I handed it over,so was done on a mobile phone.

Talking of cake decoration shops. One of them I went into in Glasgow (Top Tier) wanted me to take in samples of them to sell in their shops. I decided against it as I think I'd soon get fed up making loads of them.

80th Birthday

I thought I better get another post on before the weekend as I've got a 2 day demo coming up. I'll be demoing the Pazzles Inspiration cutter. I'm a bit nervous as I've not had it long to play with, but at least the software was familiar as I bought the Funtime software to use with my Craft Robo.

Anyway this is another 8x8 card that I made for an 80th birthday. The image is Pearls and Plumes by Hampton Art Stamps. I coloured her with my Prismacolours. The PP is from the Vita Bella range from My Little Yellow Bicycle. The blue lace was in a bag of lace I won in a blog candy giveaway by Beautifullily. The flowers are Flora Doodles with an antique metal and blue gem brad also from the Vita Bella range.I also added some pearls hanging behind the flower. The Happy Birthday is from a HOTP set and I stamped it onto a tag again from the Vita Bella range,as is the foiled photo corner. The 80 is chipboard numbers from a Brenda Pinnick kit.
