Red Carpet

Well I'd just like to thank everyone for their good wishes on my trip back to hospital for another wee operation. All is well so far but just a wee bit tender at my hips.I keep bumping into the kitchen worktops too as it's just at the same height...ouch!
I was to be at The Golden Jubilee Hospital for 11am and arrived at the car park entrance at 10.30ish to be greeted by 3 police officers who waved me to stop. What's the nature of the visit they asked. I'm being admitted for an operation I said,so they waved me on into the car park. When I drove in the place was full of police. Two walking towards me had braid on their hats. Not PC's for sure...lol. Couldn't find a parking space so drove round to the other side of the hospital where the hotel is and parked.As I walked up to the entrance a guy was hoovering a red carpet. Geez...they didn't have to go to all that trouble for me....pmsl. Anyway as it turned out HRH Queen Elizabeth was visiting to open the new heart and lung department. Mystery of all the police solved!
I was put into the same room I had when I had my op back in January and had a great view of the helipad. Down came the helicopter and dropped off HRH and Prince Philip,who then jumped into their Rolls Royce and were driven by the hospital windows where we were all standing and received the Royal Wave. Was tempted to wave my paper knickers but would probably have got carted off to the Tower. So that was my gossip for the day.

I've added a couple of cards that I made for Louis teachers to prevent the boredom of my previous waffle....lol. Louis finished nursery a week past on Friday,so my baby starts school in August. I can't believe it. The time has just flown by.
Both cards are using Birthday Hamish kindly got for me by Stu along with some others.I've coloured them both with my Prismacolors. The pink PP is Daisybuckets (gasp!) and the brown is Heidi Grace and has a lovely silk and flock feel. Papermania Brads (ordinary and sugar coated), Making Memories cheeky clips,flowers and Studio G sentiment stamps.

Forgive Me.......

for I have sinned!

I've cut up my gorgeous Daisybuckets papers. Not just once......but 3 times! Oh what will I do.It's a terrible crime......lol

Anyway,I had these 3 cards to make for this week but couldn't post them earlier as they might have been seen.
The first was for a lovely lady on Docrafts called Hazel whose birthday it was.I used Daisybuckets Sweet Marabella Bianca papers.Partygirlabella Stamp coloured with Prismacolor pencils.Some flowers with sugar coated Papermania brads in the centre,Papermania gems and some ribbon.

The second card was for Louis nursery teacher whose birthday it was.Again I've used Daisybuckets Whimsical Ladies Royal Court papers and also Partygirlabella coloured with my Prismas. Stamped sentiment from Studio G. Some purple ribbon,Papermania gems and a Flora doodle flower with Papermania brad in the centre.

Finally the last card is for Father's Day. Again it's Daisybuckets Under The Boardwalk On The Clock papers. The teddy bear was made from Sculpey clay in a mould and decorated with chalks.The nose and eyes are coloured with a black Sakura glaze pen. He's mounted onto cream card cut with my Nestabilities and then onto my lovely new Core'dination cardstock also cut with my scallop nestabilities.This card has a contrasting coloured core and is great for distressing as the inner core colour shows through.I've used my Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder on a strip of the Core'dinations card and rubbed it with sandpaper,I also used the same technique on the Dad letter which were cut from a Sizzix Alphabet. The brads in the corners were from a previous Costco scrapbook kit and the little gem hearts are Papermania. This is Louis card for his daddy.

Today's The Day.....

I teach my first scrapbook class at Craftology and I'm soooooo nervous. I've got 2 classes a week of a specific page and then a crop the week in between. Apart from the 2 demo days a couple of weeks ago I've no experience of teaching. Fingers crossed it'll be ok. The page is girlie themed and using the Delightful Range from My Little Yellow Bicycle and gorgeous prima flowers. I'll post the LO on Wednesday after I've done the classes.
Meanwhile here's another using the Fancy Pants range I did for the demo days.
There's also a Fancy Pants pink border acetate overlay on it.Fancy Pants pin through the ribbon and I added some pink beads to it.Used my Crop-A-Dile Big bite to set the eyelets and threaded some pink organza ribbon through. The little heart is a Fancy Pants die cut and I've finished it off with some pink Prima flowers.

Just A Quickie.....

Just a quick card I made this morning with help from my Robo.I think the PP was free in a magazine, but can't remember which one. The flowers are a mixture of two kinds.I know the larger ones are Papermania but not the smaller ones. Cut the ovals and scallops on the Robo. Matted them together on 3d foam and then on 3d foam to the card.Printed the greeting on the PC.Slit the card and threaded the ribbon through (my ribbon thingie wouldn't reach that far in!) and tied a bow. Added the little Papermania pearls.
