Card For A Special Lady

Sorry I've been MIA for the last week, but I've been really busy what with,Halloween parties, getting my scrapbook class sorted and doing commissioned cards,I've had no time to do much else.I didn't even know I'd won the Sketch Saturday challenge from last week, until I saw the message from Sharon. So thanks Sharon for letting me know.
I also had a card to make for a special lady.I know she's already received the card so I can post it.My good friend and bloggy buddy Kath has her birthday today. So pop over to her fantastic blog and wish her a happy day.Kath makes the most amazing cards. For my card I actually did cut up my beloved Melissa Frances papers.I've stroked them lovingly for a long time, but decided that the time had come to use them.Believe you me,only Kath was worth the find them really hard to get here and I just adore them. The image is from a Stampin'Up Hostess Set called Oh,So Lovely.I stamped the background
mesh a few times and then masked the main flower and stamped it a few times at different levels.Coloured with copic markers.I also hand stitched (gasp!) round the edge of the card, after using my Cutter Bee Bug of course to make the holes.

Cardstock - Bazzill
Image and Background Stamp - SU Oh,So Lovely
Medium - Copic Markers
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia,Tim Holtz Distress Ink Antique Linen
Papers - Melissa Frances
Punch - Martha Stewart Arch Lattice
Sentiment - HOTP
Pearls - Kanban
Lace, flowers, button and embroidery thread from stash.

Well I'm off to another concert again tonight.Shinedown this time.(told you I was getting to be a groupie in my old looking forward to this one as they're a fab band.
I'll also be hoping to catch up with everyone,to see what lovely crafty creations you've all been making.Hope everyone has a great weekend, whatever you're doing.

I can see why you hoarded then stroked the papers before using - they are lovely. This is quite different from the cards I've seen on your blog and I think it is really lovely Cass. Enjoy your concert tonight.
