Yee Haaaaaa....Howdy Pardner

This is my second card to be made using the fabulously talented Kerry's doodle stamps. I've used the cowgirl image and coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils. I also washed slightly around the image to give it a less harsh look than stark white.I've matted her onto caramel coloured cardstock and added 4 caramel coloured brads to the corners. At the bottom I've used a booty loop double brad in the earthy tones from Karen Foster Design and tied them with the brown scrappers floss in the pack. I've used caramel coloured plain card and matted the plaid PP which is from K&Co Kazoo Kids collection onto it.I decided to try and use my new Cutter Bee Bug gadgets to prick the paper. They have single, double and zig zag for different stitches. I tried freehand which didn't work too well,so my faux stitching is very rustic and distressed....pmsl .It adds to the shabby look (that's my excuse!)Anyway I used my brown Callipen to do the faux stitching, both zig zag and ummm single row straight???.....lmao. The other PP is the reverse of the K&Co and very western themed so was perfect for the image. Again I've used the Cutter Bee Bugs for the faux stitching. The sentiment is from Studio G and the western metal embellishment is a mini western charm from Karen Foster Designs fixed with a caramel brad.

2 Cards....1 Given And 1 Received

The first card is a card I made for the fabulously talented Kerry (curlygirlyme) as a congratulation on getting her doodle images made into rubber stamps. If you've been asleep...lol and haven't by any chance seen these gorgeous stamps yet, then pop over to her blog and have a look at her brilliant work. The stamps can be bought from Debbi Moore's website, and are a must for any serious card maker and stash addict!....lol

I used my Winobella stamp from Stampingbella, and coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils. She's matted onto blue Bazzill bling cut with my nestabilities.White cardstock with blue Bazzill Bling and turquiose and Craft's House Retro Brown PP. Blue eyelets added with Crop-A-Dile Big Bite and brown organza ribbon threaded through (really love doing this at the moment!).Brown and turquoise flowers with button effect brad in the middle.Congratulations stamp is from Woodware.

The second card I received from the lovely Tina (Rainbird) on Docrafts. Tina doesn't have a blog but I had given her a friendship award anyway,so she sent me the card as a thank you. I was totally amazed when I received it as it's a work of art and so detailed. It was just right up my street. What a fantastic card Tina and I love it. Thank you so much.

Both ladies are a huge support both with my crafting and were fab when I had my operation back in January. They are great friends and wonderful ladies.

Talking of operations. I had a follow up at the hospital yesterday. After waiting for nearly an hour they decided to tell me and 3 others that we were booked for the
wrong clinic. It was the head and neck clinic that was on and I know it was definitely my abdomen I had surgery on. They tried to get a registrar to come and see us but she was called to theatre, and as it was a Bank Holiday there was no chance of a replacement.Needless to say after all that we had to be rescheduled. So a week on Thursday is the new appointment. I just hope there's someone to see me then!

Now it's my turn to pass it onto 3 other bloggers. First is Donna (luvocardz),Caz (foxy's crafts) and lastly Lorraine

Kerry's Geisha Doodle Card

Well I decided to try out Kerry's (curlygirlyme) doodle stamps and thought I'd start with the geisha. I've been so nervous about using Kerry's stamps as I know she reads my blog and I was worried I wouldn't be able to do them justice as her cards are so gorgeous.
Anyway I've taken the plunge and uploaded my take on her geisha doodle. I've coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils using PC925 Crimson Lake and PC988 Marine Green to contrast with the papers. Her hair is PC 935 Black. I coloured lightly around the image with PC1089 Pale Sage and edged it with PC988 Marine Green as in the main image. I've matted it onto red Bazzill card. The main card is DCWV Far East card matted onto red Bazzill.Papermania pale green pearl brads added to the centre of the flowers and two oriental coins mounted with 3d foam pads. The sentiment is from Studio G.

I hope you like it Kerry!

Gardenia Greenthumb

I finally got round to making this card using the Gardenia Greenthumb Fairy from the Chichiboulie range at Stamping Bella.
The PP is DCWV Pocketful Of Posies matted onto green Papermania Cardstock.I've used my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite to set the green eyelets.Threaded through some orange grograin ribbon and tied a piece of spotty green grograin
through the knot. Also stuck a Fancy Pants pin through the knot which has a little green flower at the end. Stamped the sentiment using a Studio G stamp.coloured Gardenia in with my Prismacolor pencils and decoupaged her wings with vellum with Sakura Stardust applied.Used my punch to punch the corners and matted it onto orange card.I then punched the green card using my DoCrafts multishaper punch, and matted the image onto it.I've used 3d foam pads to attach it.The flowers are Flora Doodles with buttons in the middle.

Mini Pocket Book

Well I finally decided to take my Bind-It-All out of it's box and use it. I was lucky enough to see Nicki from Trimcraft demo'ing the BIA and decided I must really use mine. Morag our scrapbook teacher is leaving to go back to the USA and so I decided rather than make a card,I'd make a mini book. I thought of having the pockets so I could make lots of little tags (cut on the Craft Robo) for all the girls to write something personal on. I used the lovely Dovecraft Papers which are in shades of black, white and fuchsia pink. The sentiment on the front was from a HOTP kit and the flowers are Dahlia Blend Flora Doodles from Joanna Sheen. I added loads of contrasting ribbons to the wires.
Inside I used Papermania fuschia pink cardstock and again it's all decorated with the Dovecraft papers and matching brads. I've also used more of the flowers inside. The inner front cover has a good luck verse which is matted onto fuchsia pink card cut with the new multishaper punches from Docrafts. I've put in lots of photos from our night out and added lots of little scrapbooking quotes from scrapbook.com.
I've only uploaded a few of the pages to give the general idea of what's in it.

A Surprise In The Post

I got a lovely parcel handed to me from the postman today that I hadn't been expecting. It had some lovely 12x12 papers, ribbons, brads and a gorgeous Thank You card from the lovely Jools.
I had sent Jools and her now famous designer SIL Kerry some stamped images a few weeks ago to have a play with. I hadn't expected
anything in return but have been surprised and delighted with such kind gifts. As you'll see from an earlier post I received a Rockchick doodle card from Kerry and today my lovely goodies from Jools.

Thank you so much Jools and enjoy making more fabby cards with the images.

Just Good Friends

This is the first of my layouts I had to do for the Scrapbooking demo at Craftology last week. The papers are Fancy Pants and called Envision from the Daydreams collection. The acetate overlay is the glittered Pink Frame. I affixed it with glue dots and two Dovecraft spotty red brads. The title was cut on the Cricut Expression from red Bazzill card with the Plantin Schoolbook Font. The flower was also cut on the Cricut using the Play and Confetti paper and the flower border is Laugh which are all from the Celebrate range. I layered the flower with silicone glue in the centres and added the Dovecraft red spotty brad.I also curled the petals. The tag is cut on the Cricut with the Tags cartridge from Confetti and I've slid red grosgrain ribbon through and affixed two Dovecraft blue spotty brads at either end.
This was taken on my friend Vivienne's 40th Birthday.

I had a fabby two days demo'ing at Craftology with the lovely Nicki from Trimcraft doing the Bind-It-All,Carol (Craft Heaven)doing the Cuttlebug and Cricut and Carol (Craftology) doing the Cricut and Design Studio.

A Wonderful Surprise

Well yesterday I got a lovely surprise in the post. I received a beautiful hand doodled Rockchick of my own by the lovely Kerry (curlygirlyme). Kerry if you visit her blog, hand draws the most fabulous doodles as she calls them. They're little works of art. The cards she makes with them and other images are just amazing. A very talented lady.
I had sent Kerry and her sister in law Jools some stamped images to have a play with and Kerry sent me this thank you card with the little doodled Rockchick on it. I was so amazed and touched at the card. She also included a couple of extra doodles of her for me to colour. I'm so delighted with them and her gorgeous card. Please pop by her blog and see her amazing designs. I've shown the card at an angle and only a peek of the doodles to protect Kerry's copyright to the images.
Thank you so much Kerry, you're a wonderful friend.
