Sugar Bowl GD

A few weeks ago I won The Sugar Bowl challenge and the lovely Fiona asked if I'd like to be Guest Designer for this challenge. I was delighted to take part as I've been a Sugar Nellie fan practically since they started.I'm using the Diane Duda image To The Moon which is available from the shop. Usually I steer clear of male cards, but I really loved this image and really enjoyed making this card. I've went overboard with my Wink Of Stella glitter pen which is my new favourite. You can't make much of it out but I used it round the edge of the card,on the punched stars and on the rocket. As always the Sugar Bowl Sweeties have done a fantastic job.

Kitty

I've always been a huge Sugar Nellie fan. I just love all the stamps they produce and even better they are a Scottish company. So it's a joy to support and buy from them. This image is called Kitty and is adorable. I've coloured her with Copic markers apart from her apron and hat bow, which I paper pieced. I used lovely spring colours.

Sugar Bowl Challenge # 65

Wow I can't believe I've managed to make another challenge card. I've not posted this much for a while. Well at least it's a lot for me!...lol.
The challenge over at The Sugar Bowl was to follow Maria Therese's sketch and the option of blue.I've used the Simply Sassy image from Sugar Nellie called Team Spirit and coloured her with my Copic Markers in colours to match the gorgeous Bo Bunny Liberty papers. The pom poms I made using a strip of blue card and cutting a fringe all along it and scrunching it up. I
thought it looked quite effective. The star is a Sizzix die and the alphabet stamps are from Fiskars.I've dotted all around the blue cardstock with my white gel pen. The eyelets are just set in a line on a plain piece of white card.

Here's a close up picture of the hand made pom poms

Off to lie down in a dark room now....lol.
Only joking!

I've nearly finished another card so watch this space!

Sugar Bowl Challenge 64

We'd been having little challenges on the Sugar Nellie Facebook page and one had been funky hair colours. As usual I missed the deadline.although in all fairness I was only just back my holidays. So instead I used the image for the Sugar Bowl Challenge #64 Kiki's Sketch. The image is a Simply Sassy called Apple Of My Eye and is coloured with Copic Markers. Her hair is a funky green colour, and I've added some glossy accents to the apples. The papers are a mixture of Craft Creations,MME and BG. I love this sentiment as it reminds me of something my dad used to always say to me. It's by Unity Stamps. The sentiment is cut out with an X Cut set of nesties.Flowers and ribbons from stash.

As I mentioned I'm entering it into the Sugar Bowl Challenge

I also thought I'd share another picture with you.I moved house a few months ago and as the garden is pretty big and I don't have a craft room that I'd buy a log cabin to use as my craft studio. All my friends on Facebook have been getting kept up to date with the progress of it.It's not quite finished yet as I have to get the electrics installed, but I thought I'd show you a picture of it so far.
I can't wait to finally have it up and running and have my own little space.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 63

I've had this gorgeous Simply Sassy stamp coloured and the SU papers picked out to match for ages but never got round to making the card. So I decided to use Erika's fab sketch over at The Sugar Bowl and finally get the card made. The flowers were made using the Peony nesties and the middles are just little bits of twine made into little circles. The tag is cut from a Go Kreate die. As always it's coloured with Copic markers.

I'm off to try and finish another card I've got half finished and hopefully get it blogged soon.
As I mentioned I'm entering this card into The Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Angel Wishes

Wooohoooo I've managed to do a challenge card with plenty of time to spare instead of missing the deadline, and it's my second card in a couple of days. That must be a record for me...lol.
There's a fab sketch by Tiets over at The Sugar Bowl so I inked up my new Angel Wishes stamp from Sugar Nellie. She's so pretty.I've used my X-cut snowflake punches and layered them up and sprinkled with loads of Glamour Dust and added a Papermania shimmer dot to the centre of each.I love the effect of them both layered.
I've used my Cutter Bee Bug again to do the piercing round the edge and again it's just the single row.I really love this wee tool.I've also embossed the circle with the snowflake embossing folder and sanded it back,it's not showing very well though.I think I need to be using 8x8 cards as I struggle to fit everything on...lol

Christmas Manga Girl

I've finally gotten over having the cold, just a few sniffles left.Thank goodness as I've got loads to do this week.I've got a LO to do for my scrapbook class on Monday and a birthday party to organise for tomorrow. It was Louis 6th birthday on Tuesday and he's having his party tomorrow.I collected his cake today and was at the cash and carry last night getting food and sweeties.I'd already ordered all the plates, cups and napkins online,so tomorrow will be busy. He's having it at a local soft play centre.A room full of excited 6 year old...the joys........
Anyway back to posting a card.I've not done much crafting as I wasn't feeling very well but managed to rustle this up using one of the new Sugar Nellie Christmas Manga stamps. It was supposed to be for the Sugar Bowl challenge, but didn't realise it finished yesterday so I missed it (again). You can click on the photo for a better view as I have to resize them due to their size, and you'll hopefully see all the bling.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 11 sketch by Kathy

The challenge over at the Sugar Bowl was a sketch by Kathy and you were to include pearls.I decided to use my Basic Grey Wisteria pad instead of just looking at it and another Gorjuss girl too.Again I'm not quite happy with this, can't decide what it is (think I'm never happy with cards....lol).The flowers I made by punching out the Wisteria papers and really crumpling them up.I think it gives a really good effect.(distressed...lol).I did some recently for a scrapbook LO and everyone thought they were fabric.
I rotated the sketch and have also included the pearls. Both in the centre of the flowers and also in the top left corner.I'm just back from Body Combat so off to relax for the rest of the evening and maybe finish another card that's nearly done.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 10 sketch by Marlene

Another first for me on the challenge front.First time entering The Sugar Bowl challenge which was a sketch by the fabulous Marlene.
This poor little gorjuss girl,I really feel sorry for her.I hadn't stamped her properly and was really only getting used as a practice with my Copics to try and do the colour black.I was short of C9 so she's more grey than black. She also looks in colour how I felt the other day while colouring her.I was feeling miserable and it was dark and rainy outside,so she got the grey look. Needless to say C9 and a few other Copics into my shopping cart soon cheered me up...lol.
Anyway,I had bought Daisy Buckets scrummy Little Black Dress papers in my local craft shop so decided she wasn't just going to be for a practice. So after I touched in the bits I'd misstamped with my copic fineliner and coloured her she got pride of place on the card.I think she's got
slightly more lace holes in her petticoat than should be,but nevermind.I kept her colouring totally monochrome even on her face which is slightly greyed, and the little fox is now of the Arctic variety...lol.The buttons are cut from a Sizzix Die and covered in glossy accents with some floss threaded through,so I hope they count.....lol
Enough waffling for now,I've got loads to do today as my friend's coming tonight to finish off her wedding invites and I've got a demo weekend ahead at my local craft shop,so apologies for not having blog hopped much .I'll try and pop round when I get a minute.
